Product Description

Set in the mid-1970s just before the punk movement swept the British Isles, this film tells the story of shadowy cultural icons Tom and Barry Howes, conjoined twins from an isolated headland on the east coast of England. Plucked from the safety of their isolation, they find themselves being groomed by one of rock's leading impresarios to become part of the burgeoning punk rock scene, soon to take the world by storm.

4.0 out of 5 stars To Never Be Alone 20 Mar 2007
By Martin A Hogan HALL OF FAME TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
In this realistic pseudo-documentary, two conjoined twins (Luke and Harry) are discovered by a talent artist and become a hugely popular British punk-rock act. It's a dark tale from the start, but the simple story of sharing every moment of your life with another person joined at the waist is mesmerizing. The joy and angst of the pill-popping, heavy drinking twins is shown clearly and plainly. Their moods change and they are conflicted about eachother, but they always remain faithful (with no other choice) to eachother's feelings. The music is hard and tough and the emotional material matches. This is a cult classic about punk-rock and the feelings that one is never alone - and that isn't always a good thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have the CD and the book too! 7 Feb 2008
Format:DVD
I was totally unprepared for this film It grabbed my interest from the beginning on the wild Norfolk coast to the startling image of the twins at the end. Leaving me very unsettled. It was difficult to believe that the story was not actually true. Reading the Novel by Brian W Aldiss added much to the film and one's understanding of it. Don't forget to watch the deleted scenes on the DVD they help to bring the book and the film together. Read the book watch the film and listen to the music each is an experience in its own right.
