5.0 out of 5 stars One of the better non-Weis/Hickman books in the series., 30 July 1998
By A Customer
A good addition to the twins' history. Stein portrays Caramon and Raistlin wonderfully, (though not as good as Weis and Hickman, but hey..), and the mystery of the story is intriguing. Also interesting is the building tension between the brothers, and evidence of the jealousy and differences that will eventually tear them apart. Stein is faithful to the original characters, though the book is more like a Sherlock Holmes adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT!!!!, 9 Dec 1999
I absolutley loved this book! Raistlin & Caramon are at their best, and I really enjoyed the adventure. Stein kept the story alive, and we see that Raistlin does indeed care for his brother, even though Caramon will never understand him, or the needs that drive him to attain a higher power. I love Raistlin and hate him at the same time. So well done to the author - a total pleasure to read. More of the same please!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is one book you should make your own assumption on., 10 Jun 1999
By A Customer
The only reason I bought this book is because I am a big-time Raistlin fan. I thought it would probably be lame. But hey, it had Raistlin in it! I had to give it a try. It turned out to be an excellent book. In not even one chapter was there a torpid moment. And the ending was beautifully heartwarming. I reccomend this book to any Raistlin and Caramon fan.
