Synopsis

In the months after the events of the Soulforge, Raistlin and Camaron join a mercenary army. The army''s first assignment is to capture a city that holds a secret known only to Lord Ariakas, commander of the newly formed dragonarmies.'

From the Author

Raistlin and Caramon join a mercenary army
This book starts where The Soulforge ends as Raistlin and Caramon go out into the world. Kitiara is a big part of the story, as well. We hope you have fun reading it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Captures what we already know about Raistlin, 10 Dec 1999
All in all, I think this is a thoroughly enjoyable book and I would recommend it to any Dragonlance fan out there. I thought the characters were well portrayed, as innocent as Caramon starts out to be, as hidden as Raistlin always is and Kitiara, a woman beyond all belief, a tower of persistence and integrity albeit in a selfish sense. Raistlin as always is my favourite character no doubt about that, but what is in the book that we don't already know about Raistlin? The gist of what is said is basically described in the Cronicles trilogy and only if you want the finer details should you embark on this journey of character growth. I don't think enough innovation has been put in and all we have left is plot. Apart from the plot, everything is pretty much set out in the Chronicles trilogy and there is not much need to repeat in finer detail what is said in Brothers in Arms. However, I have given it a four star rating due to it's intruiging characterisation, plot and general readability. Interesting and keeps you reading straight through till the end. A definite must have for any dragonlance fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another masterpiece!, 17 Jan 2000
By A Customer
At last another masterpiece from Ms Weis. This is very well written and shows Raistlin as we know and love him. We see compassion and understanding as well as his 'dark' side. It is interesting to note, however, that our dark mage does not seem to be very 'black' as yet. In fact he almost makes you believe that he may go to the White robes of Paladine. Although we know this to be untrue as he is the master of past present and future as foretold in the Chronicles. I thoroughly enjoyed these Raistlin books, and hope to see the third volume, if and when it arrives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soulforge was fantastic, Brother's In Arms was better!, 11 Feb 2000
By A Customer
Once I had read Soulforge I just couldn't wait for the next installment. When it arrived I was amazed by how good it really was. I have been a fan of the Dragonlance saga ever since I first read Dragons Of Autumn Twilight 9 years ago and all of the books have been top class. Brother's In Arms is no exception and it fills in the gaps that people wonder about Raistlin and Caramon. I await eagerly the next installment!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not canon, but still a good read
For those of you familiar with the Dragonlance universe, I have to say this is a very different book from The Soulforge (which precedes this volume). Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars The worst of the dragonlace books written by Margaret Weis
I can only say that is boring. I like the soulforge, but this book is a deception.

5.0 out of 5 stars I cannot summarize, it has not yet been released.
Soulforge was good, I hope that "Brothers in Arms" follows up with just as much flame and enchantment. Read more
