This is my first Brother printer (didnt get off Amazon) and i have to say am very impressed. Had to replace an Hp photosmart C6380 and deskjet 1200c, which both decided to die within days of each other, so had get a replacement quickly. It is fairly big, but doesn't take up any more space than the deskjet A3 printer.
Setting up was easy but took a long time, have got it connected by USB to my main PC but was easy to set up wireless on 2 other laptops using the supplied CD.
I haven't set up the fax so can't comment but the scanning is easy following the directions on the LCD monitor. The same applies to the copier. i like the fact that it has a multi page feeder for copying or scanning.

The printing function is what really impresses me. everyday printing is done on fast normal setting(economical) and so far I am still on the same cartridges after 1700 pages, and have also done A3 and some photo printing. the low ink staus has come on but no loss of quality yet. print quality if good and have not had any jamming or poor prints. photo quality is good for everyday prints, however took a bit of time to get the paper tray and print preferences sorted.
The paper tray is easy to load and easily expands to take paper sizes upto A3. the tray is supposed to hold 50 pages, but i think 75+ would be a better estimate.

Only drawback is it can be a bit noisy, particulary when it goes through its cleaning cycle.

would I reccomend it, Yes.

The Brother MFC5895CW Colour Inkjet Multifunction A3 Printer with Fax and Wireless. Really pleased with it.Print is great on A4 and A3. Paper changed over a bit of a pain but got to grips with it in a short time. What is great about this print it's in standby have set up a number of my PC in the house and can all print wireless to it scan from it. Also found app for my Samsung S2 phone can scan to it and print from it. Printer turns on with out being in the same room and shuts down when completed. Really good. A4 scanner works well. For the money can not fault it as needed to print A3 for my sons home work. Recommend to any one who just needs to print in A3 scan in A4. Can scan to memory card and software not bad aswell.

I already own a Brother multifunction printer Brother DCP-195C Colour All-In-One - Printerand vowed I'd never own another because of its propensity to jam when printing non-Brother photopaper. However, my requirement for an A3 inkjet printer at a price I could afford overcame my prejudice. Having read several favourable reviews by Amazon purchasers I decided to take the plunge. Setting up is straightforward and the printed set-up guide is easy to follow. As with my other Brother machine, the print quality on specialised papers is superb. I'm not in the habit of printing glossy photographs, preferring the velvety blacks I get using 'Somerset' Photo, a 100% cotton inkjet paper, and the quality of the colour printing at A3 and A4 sizes on the same paper is equally as good. As with all mechanical devices, paying close attention to the specifics of using the equipment pays off in the long run. The handbook emphasises the need to handle the paper feed tray and the other doors and hatches gently. Given the 'tinny' sound the paper tray makes when sliding it back and forth, and the various crunches and rattles made by the paper feed mechanism, this is probably sound advice; ham-fisted handling would doubtless shorten the machine's life. On that score I wouldn't recommend it for an office environment where indifferent usage would have the service engineer calling on a daily basis. Professional users such as photographers or artist/printmakers will find this machine gives excellent results for an affordable outlay. I have no hesitation in recommending it highly.
