Product Description

As an integral model in the Print 3.0 range, the Brother MFC-J4410DW is one of the smallest ever inkjet all-in-ones to offer up to A3 printing. Print 3.0 doesn’t mean one upgrade, it means everything is upgraded. Bursting with new technology, the MFC-J4410DW is packed full of business-friendly features in a sleek, compact machine, to ensure you get the most from your office space. The MFC-J4410DW utilises landscape print technology, feeding through the printer in a landscape format to offer you fast print speeds in a lower profile machine, meaning that you will not be kept waiting for your documents.

The MFC-J4410DW has a number of cost saving functions, including automatic 2-sided printing to save paper, and optional high yield ink cartridges, with yields of up to 1200 pages for a lower cost per page, all this is achieved without compromising on print quality, ensuring you can produce professional looking documents. All Brother inkjet multifunctional printers incorporate a four individual inks system meaning that you only replace the ink which runs out, reducing waste and saving you money. The MFC-J4410DW complies with the strict Energy Star and German Blue Angel environmental standards and ensures low energy consumption, low noise levels and a recycle-friendly design.

Print 3.0 means being able to print from more places and more devices. Print directly from your mobile device with the Brother 'iPrint&Scan' app or wirelessly using Apple Airprint or Google Cloud Print. You can also connect directly to the web from your printer in order to scan to or print from Google Docs, Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox, Picassa and Evernote.

This is the best printer I've ever owned by far. I gave up trying to install my HP B110 printer, a bad experience, which I hoped wouldn't be repeated, as I've not owned a Brother product before. I was impressed with the straightforward installation and continued to be pleasantly surprised as I put the printer through its paces. A neat footprint, and the A3 printing is a doddle. I print circuit diagrams so I only ever need a single page, the print is clear and sharp even on the default settings, the colour is the best I've seen on any inkjet (on the "Best" setting) and it competes with my partner's Minolta Colour Laser. I'm as pleased as a dog with two...er....collars :0) I won't begrudge splashing out on the ink cartridges...well, not much!

I used one of these for 13 months and had a lot of paper jam.s I was using a very good quality paper for business use..
after 13 month's the warning came up again paper jam please do this that and the other , which I did as usual..
no joy and no paper jam, came up as error 50
got in touch with support all was going well they told me it was not a paper jam but a fault in the machine, could I give them the serial number , which I did and they said sorry we can't help you as it is out of the 12 month warrenty , but to try a sub firm to rectify the problem ,
got the tele number from them , got in touch with the company to repair the KNOWN FAULT and it turned out it would cost the same to repair as it would to buy another one , as they would have to get the part that is faulty from brother...
for the time I had this machine it was trouble, with paper jams......
which as it turned out was not paper jams but a KNOWN FAULT by Brother..
BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK...
LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL..........

I bought this printer to replace our Brother 5860CN, which despite having given good service over the last few years, was losing print quality from the black print head. Despite using various methods of print head cleaning, using cartridges & kits, the black output did not improve. Searching the web revealed that the most likely cure would be a service/repair - which was OK until I discovered the cost of so doing!

In the end, I plumped for the MFC-J4410DW, It is a great A4 printer, producing very good quality text & graphics (I haven't tried photo printing yet). This printer is the junior of the 4510 in thet it only has one feed tray. with a separate media feed at the back, which is less convenient but as only used by me on an occasional basis, It does however have A3 printing capabilities, which considering it's an A4 printer, is and excellent feature. As to the printing process, all is fine, with a smooth & speedy output. The print head movements are smooth & quiet but when the paper feed mechanism kicks in, it makes a terrific noise, sounding like it is about to jam but surprisingly doesn't. I have tried adjusting the feed tray clamps to hold the paper more tightly but it has no significant effect. There is a Fax as well although I haven't yet tried it.

The auto-feed works fine and folds down flat into the top when not in use, leaving a smooth level surface to put things on (not too heavy however as the lid might buckle). There is also a touch screen, which is a little on the small side but most functions can be easily reached through it. There are three Hot keys, which can be programmed to control your most used functions should you wish.

This printer has all I want in a printer and preforms perfectly. I bought the Brother after returning 2 Epson printers that both malfunctioned within days of purchase, so dont have much time for them now. The brother is easy to use, holds loads of paper, print caetridges are easy to change, copies (enlarges and reduces), scans to computer, email and OCR. Ive not tried pictures yet but otherwise I have no complaints.

This printer really looks good, such a change from the ugly black boxes most other makes offer, also it has quite a small footprint and fits on my desk easily.
It does everything it says on the box, double sided printing is done automatically and also works if your using the document feeder.
A3 printing means feeding sheets one by one but the results are great.
The only fault I can find is the quality of the guides on the hand feed and paper trays - quite flimsy.
Still worth everyone of it's 5 stars!!

Not the best, print quality is ok but the machione is very "plasticy"and you think you are goign to break it anytime you touch it. If I had to do lots of printing then I woudl say no but the odd document and boarding pass it is fine

Yes, when it works it is as good as low-mid budget printers go. But it is probably cheaper than the competition i.e. Epsom and HP; and some say it is easier to set up.

It prints at a reasonable pace but don't expect any speed records, especially in 2-sided mode. And it will probably crash at some point if you ask it's little brain to do 60 or more sides in one go. It's plasticky body doesn't help, though it is plastic it is a little sturdier than cheaper models.
Scanning is a little more disappointing, it is painfully slow and if the paper feeder on the top is supposed to automate the process of scanning multiple sheets, it has never worked.
The paper was forever jamming too.

The worst part though, it BROKE. Just outside warranty.

In fact, my first Brother Printer befell the same fate, but I stuck with the brand because it was cheap and I had a stock of print cartridges left over.

I'm probably a little unlucky, but these issues are not isolated, as you will see from some of the reviews comments; 'YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED'.

I will be trying a different brand next time even if it means forgoing my unused ink cartridges.
