I read alot of reviews before buying this printer. While the "Expert reviewers" seemed to all hate this pinter, the user review were by and large all positive. This was the cheapest A3 pinter i could find on the net normally a3 printers do only just that, print. however all the extra features on this printer are amazing for a machine in this price bracket. i rarely print photographs but i printed one or two just to see what the quality was like on normal a4 paper, and to be honest it was beter than i had expected considering the expert reviews. i couldnt really find any fault with them.
So far i have used the a4,a3 printing, the copier and the scanner( i dont have a fax line so cant comment on that) and all work perfectly. i occassionally print cad drawings and had previously used an epson 1290 always with oem ink which cost nearly four times the price of this printer and none of the added features of this printer, the print head broke for no reason so i decided to go for the chapest a3 printer and use cheap compatible ink cartridges. cheap cartridges are readily available for this pinter and also the use of individual colour tanks mean you only replace the empty colour not the whole colour cartridge like the epson 1290. this printer picks up the diferent line weights of the cad drawings perfectly and the print quality is equal to if not better than my old priner. Speed of printing is not a major consideration for me but it again is faster than my old epson prnter.
BOTTOM LINE it is a great a3 prnter for the money, packed with features and cheap cartridgs are readily available for it.
