I was afraid of using an electric sewing machine, but this was so easy. The instrutions are very easy to follow. I have enjoyed making a quilt and reparing many things.

When I purchased this sewing machine I wondered if it would live up to its reputation. I wasn't let down as it was a dream to use, even on the dreaded stretchy fabrics. It also coped very well with a thick heavy blanket. If you want a sewing machine that is practical, easy to use and low budget, then this is it.

This is a really good economy priced machine . It has coped with everything so far and makes sewing so much easier than my old machine. Good value for money.

I bought this to replace a more expensive machine that I had had for over 30 years. People told me that I would find new machines light weight and flimsy after my old heavy duty one.
This machine may be light weight (a distinct bonus) but it not flimsy, infact it is sturdy and well built.
It is easy to operate and stiches beautifully. It make very good button holes and the twin needle for top stitching is a brilliant addition.
All in all I am absolutley delighted with this machine and it is real value for money.
One little niggle, it comes without a dust cover of any kind, so that will have to be my first job!

This machine is really worth the money, does a great job and does not cost the earth. Just need to buy a cover - this was the only thing that did not come with the machine, but for the price I paid, I really could not expect to get a cover.

Well being a bloke I've never owned a sewing machine but with my son going to boarding school and me needing to sow a billion name tags on everything I bought one of these. How hard can it be I thought? Well let me tell you and assure you that the person who wrote the instructions for this is a sadist. I'm a professional engineer by trade. I deal in complex diagrams and instructions all the time, but this? All I can say is read the instructions slooowly and refer to the exploded diagram often and you WILL succeed. Once you do you're laughing. I have to say the first time it took me 20 mins to spool some thread onto the little spool you use for the bit below the needle (See? you know what bit I'm refering to!). The second, third and forth times took less than 20 seconds. The same with setting up the thread above and below. Nearly half an hour before I was ready to start sowing my first name label. However after that I was changing from Black to White to Blue threads and spools (above and below) in less than a minute. Seriously the instructions are the only bad thing about this machine. Everything else works brilliantly. Sure the foot pedal seems a little insensitive and yes I figured out that the rewind switch allowed me to go backwards (yes I know it sounds all so obvious now) but for the price this was great. Even my son was impressed. Well ..... he will be until he finds out I stitched a trouser pocket closed on one of his trousers putting the name tag on. Then managed to stitch his belt loop closed on another pair, but I fixed that. :) You just need to plan where you're putting labels and what the effects are going to be. Who knew ?

I love this machine! I didn't have any experience with sewing machines until I bought one of these a few weeks ago. It's soooooooo easy to set up and use. I've now completed several projects, and haven't had any problems at all. There aren't as many stitch choices as many other machines I looked at, but there are still plenty to choose from. In the intruction booklet, it explains how to 'embroider' with it, but I've not tried that so far. And I've no idea how an 'old hand' would find it, but if you're just starting, or want a simple, but effective machine, I'd definitely recommend this one - it really is a lovely little machine, and has made my sewing experience very enjoyable.
