We've deployed several of these over the last year or so, and initially this seemed like a cracking machine as it seemed to pack a good punch for its price. The consumables are cheap and you do get a very good yield out of it.
But these were obviously not designed for a busy office environment. And we're not talking here about 100's of jobs being handled daily either. The pick up and paper handling rollers seem to wear out very quickly and there is a major fault on the carriage system as we've had 6 machines, coming from different usage environments, fail within a month.
All with almost the exact same fault and most, if not all, are barely a year old.
It's a shame really, but that's the price you pay for bluffing yourself that something this cheap would actually last.
For home usage or an office environment where they fax and receive 10 pages, its great. Everyone else, abstain and spend the extra money on a higher spec. Panasonic is next on our list as the OKI's have failed miserably as well.
