Bought a pair of these a few weeks ago and after a dozen or so uses one of the lace eyelets tore. Absolutely no problem getting them exchanged. In fact, I was taken aback by the speed with which Amazon dealt with my complaint. This apart, I can't say just yet how I feel about the shoe in general. Light, cushioned, almost urges you to run. But watch out for water. As someone else has already remarked, shoes become spongy when wet. They drain, but take their time. One other minus: why oh why, when so much thought has gone into the shoe's design, do Brooks persist with such an outmoded lacing system? Sodden, the laces become loose and then, frustratingly, undone! I shall change the laces on my new pair for something more suitable and sensible, and hammer out a few miles before I reach a definitive verdict. Watch this space. Or not, if you so choose.
