Product Description

Product Description

Not just a kite but a whole new game! Fly Air Bear as a kite for as long as you want - then slacken the line and he will release and come down like a parachute. Who can catch him first! For over 100 years Brookite have been designing and manufacturing high quality kites and outdoor toys. Materials and technology have changed considerably over the years and the company has continued to produce state of the art toys whilst retaining the underlying value for money ethos. The range has expanded gradually from single line kites to dual line sport kites and power kites that are strictly for the extreme market. Single line kites are the number one choice for youngsters and beginners – they are easy to fly and simple to assemble. Get out into the fresh air and enjoy the ultimate in outdoor fun that won't break the bank.

Product Description

It's a kite, no it's a parachuting bear, no it's actually both. Fly the kite as high as you like then release the bear and watch it float down to earth then simply (and real easily) reattach to the flying line using the ingenious release pin and start all over again. It is so much fun it's a wonder it's taken this long to be invented!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun but not for strong winds 9 Feb 2007
The concept is terrific - seeing all 3 kids chasing around trying to catch the parachuting teddy was something I wont forget in a hurry. Then I took it to some rather gale force wind and the (slightly flimsy) catch got tugged too hard and broke - not beyond repair though. If the wind is strong enough that the kite wont go above 5 feet(!) forget it and try a stunt kite or similar instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun but you have to like untangling string!! 6 Mar 2008
Durability: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This works well although the wind was a bit too strong and gusty which meant alot of tangled string and broken rubber bands! So use it best in calmer winds or take a lot of rubber bands with you and alot of patience! My kids love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique and highly entertaining 13 May 2013
Verified Purchase
I bought this product for my 5 year old niece and we used it straight away. We flew it in light winds and it was very easy to fly. The release mechanism works really well and it entertained 4 children (and 3 adults!) for a long time whilst they ran around trying to catch the panda as he floated down. The parachute became a little twisted after a few flights, as you'd expect, but it was easily remedied and didn't affect the flight. I would definitely recommend this unique & fun product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Shame it broke on the first use 19 April 2013
Verified Purchase
I bought this as novelty gift for my nephew's sixth birthday. He loved it and wanted to try it out immediately, even though it was pitch black outside. He tried it out with the assistance of his parents the next day, where they flew it like a kite and there's a cord to pull that releases a pin which allows the bear to fall to the ground with his parachute engaged. The release pin broke on the first use rendering the item a simple kite with a cuddly bear stuck to it.

My nephew was very disappointed and my sister assures me that there was no misuse; it's just not very robust at all.

Very cute well packaged strings got knotted a lot due to our flying'' techinique'' best not trying to fly it in gale force winds as we did.

2.0 out of 5 stars buy a kite instead 15 Jan 2012

Durability: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 1.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
good idear but very hard to use gets tangled easily ,becomes detached before it gets to any height, because it needs a fair bit of wind to use it when it detaches it blows away some distance so impossible to catch, kids got bored of constantly untangling it every time it landed seems impossible to use just as a kite, kids got more fun out of a cheap kite that stayed in the air
