I don't like Coldplay, in fact I despise them.
But the main reason I hate them so much is Chris Martin's whiny vocal.
There's none of that here, just a combination of good music and lyrics and a decent solid vocal delivery.
The song opens with a simple piano melody and develops at a nice gentle pace into something typical of the Coldplay, Keane type genre. There are highs and lows though and a touch of Radiohead experimentation at the end. On second listening whilst writing this I haven't really sussed what its supposed to be about but a few more listens will prove, I am sure, that there is meaning to the lyrics.
I bought this and over 30 other songs without listening to them because Wes White asked me to.
This is to support the "Storm the Charts" cause which is trying to take back power for the people from the major record labels. I wish him luck.
