1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By David Cohen on 8 Dec. 2005
Format: Hardcover
a fine book which gives a really good idea of the human suffering in Israel on both sides - and the poetic shambolic appeal of the place. It is sad it has not been more widely reviewed. The author is a fine journalist.

Format: Hardcover
Excellent and varied collection of short essays. Sarna deftly examines the contemporary Israeli psyche through a variety of disparate and somewhat tragic characters and their vivid experiences.
