Product Description

One rule: don't lose. When Gabriel Morgan's sister disappears somewhere in New York's underground, he'll do anything to save her. But finding her is only the beginning, because Marcus Slade won't let her go for less than ten million dollars - earned through Gabriel's blood. Slade, one of five ruthless leaders of an organization identified only by a symbol, runs hookers and street fighters, and never gives up what's his. Including Gabriel's sister. To win her freedom, Gabriel is forced to undergo a brutal training program with Slade's top fighters in order to become one of them. He is branded, broken, given a new image, and a new name. In the ring, Gabriel is known as Angel...and he does not lose. Because the price for losing is his sister's life.

Not the usual book that I would read, but as it was free (not from Amazon) I downloaded it as it looked midly interesting. I kept putting off reading it for 'better reads' but finally got round to it.

Found it a lot better than I thought, in fact couldn't put it down and finished it in record time. It is one of those books where you have to know the ending asap and hope it pans out as you want! which in this case, although not exactly as I imagined, was definitely the ending I wanted and hoped for.

Will definitely read other SW Vaughn's book's (and pay for them next time!)

The kindle triumphs again - another author I wouldn't have read if I didn't have a kindle!.

Great read 10 Jun 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
What a read and another author/genre I wouldn't normally choose - I love my kindle. The story is well written and fast paced with a lot of action. Just a great book.

Excellent story 24 April 2011
By Nic
Format:Kindle Edition
I bought this book because it was cheap and because of the title. Although this is not a genre i would normally read i found it to be an excellent story which i could not put down. The second book in the series is just as good.

If you like anything with street fighting, mystery and suspence then read this book and even if you don`t for the price its well worth a read as its a fab story that grabs you from the start and doesnt let you go.

My bookshelf anomaly
This isn't usually the sort of thing I read - it seems a bit of a bloke's book. And I think that is the intended audience. However, as a young woman, I enjoyed it. Read more
