Accessible and Detailed

Extremely well-written and even throughout, this text is both accessible and detailed. It's not often I actually enjoy reading a textbook, and frankly I've got no special interest in geriatrics over other medical fields of study, but I do enjoy reading this.
It is priced more than most of its competitors, which is disappointing because it probably limits its dissemination. Currents is less than a third of the cost of this thing! And heck, up until recently Merck's Geriatrics manual was free online at their website.
But it's definitely a quality text, there's really no denying that.

Livro com dezenas de capitulos abordando a senescencia. Muito bom e agradavel de se ler. Ótimo para se estudar. Os autores abordam temas nao avaliados em outros livros da mesma categoria. Por exemplo, um capitulo aborda e compara a sindrome de hutchinson gilford (progeria) com o envelhecimento normal - muito bom. Tem um total de 128 capitulos em 1071 paginas. Referencias on line. Recomendo.
