this series has a very good reputation and to be honest I was ecpecting it to be overated as most things are but very gripping, very clever at keeping you guessing i have two more episodes to go and I have no idea, which I usually work things out early on, this program really does through curve balls and make you asks questions, leaving you to beleive all people would kill given the correct circumstances which i appreciate is a frightening concept but great for a drama.

Amazing, so gritty and true to life, I had felt a bit jaded about watching yet another cop drama; as most cop shows have very similar story-lines................but this had a brilliant twist at the end and also the acting was much more life-like than most cop dramas where private lives subsume the detective storyline, in this case reactions were human, realistic and often bland, as is life. Pure brilliance with excellent casting, beautiful scenery and an impeccable cast and production list. The child actors are all also worth looking out for in the future.

Great stuff! We were one of the few families who totally missed the first series. Really fancied watching the second series after the recent trailers. Friends told us to try and catch up with S1 on itv player but couldn't see it so Amazon's wonderful service helped us out. Watched on ipad wherever we fancied - we watched them all over one weekend... 5 in a row was a great experience! Now we are caught up and have to wait frustratingly for every Monday with everyone else!

Absolutely well worth the purchase. I did not see this when originally aired in 2013 and needed something to occupy me on a sick day off work! No regrets at all. Did the job of diverting my thoughts away from the pain I was in. Watched all 8 episodes in the day. Excellent drama!

Having heard much about the original series, and realising that we couldn't really appreciate the second series without some prior knowledge, we thought we'd watch! Hooked from the off! Brilliant performances and intriguing storyline. Looks ing forward to series 2 now.n

Emotionally I was left feeling like a wrung out dishcloth.....by the acting of Olivia Coleman naturally.
In a great drama, with so many great actors, she still stands out.....such talent....she deserves every award going.
Enjoy.

Great acting, great writing, gripping, leaves you guessing until the last couple of episodes. Looking forward to series two - lets hope it doesn't disappoint. Great as a standalone series.

The fact that the cast didn't know who the culprit was makes this absolutely unguessable - tied to the fact that the writing and acting are brilliant. I had a day off next day off and found myself up at 5am watching the last episode. David Tennant particularly good in this. Why is it more expensive to buy on amazon that on dvd in the local supermarket and yet they call it a bargain here? What does the future hold when physical media is a thing of the past and a few large providers have the prices completely sewn up?
