These files are so cheap is because this recording is over 50 years old and thus out of copyright. But to take advantage of this the firm copying the music to mp3 must use the old vinyl version (because re-mastering for CD creates a new copyright for the originators). This means clicks, scratches and maybe some distortion from the old gramophone records. There are some gritty sections (the opening is a bit scratchy) and unfortunately the needle hops forward (at least once - in the second act). But this is a classic performance and currently extremely cheap!
