This book made me desperate to begin my holiday in Brittany. Lots of detail on the history of this ancient landscape, and great photos of the stunning towns, coastline and gorgeous medieval buildings. Good maps too.
I would recommend this book if you are travelling to any part of Brittany; my only niggle with it was that it somewhat disguised the fact that Brittany is HUGE! We did a lot of driving in our week there and barely scratched the surface of what the book told us Brittany had to offer. However this has only made us keen to return.
The sections on accommodation and eating out tended towards the pricey and exclusive - I think these sections could be expanded to give a more general flavour of where to find good places to eat and stay, eg, which streets are good for cafes, which quarters are good for hotels. Much as it is nice to know you can stay at a chateau, for most visitors I suspect this is not a realistic option.
Overall excellent, as the AA books generally are.
