5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what it says on the tin 8 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This really is an extraordinarily good book if you're looking for details of women's uniforms from the WWII period. Every page has a large, clear photograph of a uniform (worn by a modern model, but with 40s styling), plus detail shots of shoes, insignia, berets and so on. I don't know enough about the subject to ascertain whether or not it covers every possible type of uniform, but if you're a re-enactor or a costume designer, I don't think you could find a better initial resource than this.

I find this book invaluable to Re-enactor's who wish to be accurate in their uniform dress. All the uniform that is shown in this book is of true 1940's style. I only wish I could find one for MEN.
