5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Companion Volume 25 Jun 2013
By Torsten
This is an excellent companion volume to the other British Steam Train Disasters DVD, giving the perspective of another newsreel company on the Railway Disasters they covered. Of course, these releases can only ever be as comprehensive as the available footage allows, but nonetheless a fascinating insight into how these tragedies were reported to the British people at the time.

3.0 out of 5 stars An Interesting DVD 9 May 2013
Verified Purchase
I bought this DVD for my husband and he has made the following points: There is one report for 1914 and then no more until 1931. The reports consist of footage taken at the crash scenes but contain little background information, such as would be found in a book on the subject. It was interesting but not quite as comprehensive as he had expected.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff from the old Pathe news and BBC 12 May 2014

The DVD arrived as promised by Amazon, and I was impressed with the quality those old films.

Only negative was that I was expecting certain events to be on there, but nevertheless, it was very good.

4.0 out of 5 stars British Train Disasters 1914 -1975 29 May 2013

A splendid collection of train accidents covering steam and electric years. I rated it down one star because although its the best rail accident DVD there are some major accidents missing.
