PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR 'DIE SCREAMING MARIANNE' ONLY:

Another fabulous movie from the great Susan George cinema era!

George is a Go-Go Dancer, and the daughter of a corrupt Judge. Her mother's dead, and George's character, 'Marianne' holds the key to a Safe containing money and papers that would destroy her father. Deciding to marry in a hurry, she ends up getting hitched to the wrong guy by mistake.

A complicated plot this, involving a wicked step-sister (who it is suggested has an incestuous relationship with her own father) who outdoes the most evil step mother of any fairytale! She's out for Marianne's blood - in more ways than one!

A sizzling story set for the main part in Portugal which also stars the late Barry Evans.

This movie has some great cinematic shots, including an opening sequence showing Susan George doing some really cool dancing! A very atmospheric movie with a haunting vocal score to back it up.

N.B. Though listed as 'Region Code 1', this DVD plays fine on my Region 2 only DVD Player.

A box of delights to guide one down memory lane. If you twinkling in the 70s, that is. Each tale has its merits ~ story, acting, script, lighting etc. and this varied 'bag' is well worth the investment. The film, with less than the others, is "Die Screaming, Marianne". And this i put down, maybe wrongly, is due to injudicious use of scissors and would like to see an uncut version as i feel it may gel better.
