About the Author
Editor Biography: Franco Ferrero is the author of White Water Safety and Rescue and Sea Kayak Navigation. He is also the editor of the immensely successful BCU Canoe and Kayak Handbook. Franco Ferrero divides his work time between managing Pesda Press and freelance coaching. He is qualified as a BCU Level 5 Coach (Sea and Inland). He has paddled throughout the UK and in many parts of the world including Nepal, Scandinavia, the coast of Brittany in France, the European Alps, Peru and Western Canada.

The book tells you simply everything you need to know about coaching the various branches of paddle sport. a must for any aspiring coach and a useful reference for any established practitioner.
ACRONYMS? I assume it was a pre requisit for anyone contributing to have developed their own silly acronym for some element of their speciality.

I doubt I shall read it from cover to cover, and some chapters I shall skip, but it is a useful to dip into now I've started coaching kayak/canoe, and I'm sure will be continually dipped into in the future. However, if you have a background in teaching and will be in a supportive coaching environment with lots of other coaches to learn from, you would probably manage fine without the book!
