Possibly one of the best parodies of modern culture out there. The effort put into making this believable, funny and entertaining at the same time is astonishing.

Worth the money alone for Cat Deeley's method of shutting the audience up !

You get longer versions of some of the songs in the extras, and Where is the Love and Tamperer's Feel It are funnier in their extended versions.

Hopefully Peter will move into this type of one-off, Stanley Baxter type special more often in future.

A Breath of Fresh Air 20 Dec 2009
At a time when there are so many ridiculous things being shown on TV, a time when we get nearer and nearer to Richard Bachman's 'The Long Walk'- and 'The Running Man'-type pseudo-reality TV shows that know no bounds; shows in which people are encouraged to trade what little dignity they once had for a pay cheque and 15 minutes of painfully acquired fame, Peter Kay takes this horror and masterfully pokes a finger at the entire genre managing to create a beautifully absurd satire.
Funny, painful and spot on! Hope you enjoy!

I have watched this many times. It is such clever spoof. The attention to detail is amazing. I am a massive TV and film fan and I can honestly say this is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Well done PK. A really good pick me up.

PETER'S GOT THE CRINGE FACTOR
I can't believe that one reviewer actually said that this absolutely dreadful rubbish is, 'Up there with Spinal Tap'.

Not as amusing or inventive as I'd hoped
Seeing that reality TV self-parodies anyway, the venture was possibly ill-advised. Peter Kay must have watched "This is Spinal Tap" at an impressionable age and emerged,... Read more

Brilliant spoof!
I saw this programme on TV in 2008 whilst visiting family in the UK. The superb blend of "contestants" and the choice of naff songs was pure genius. Read more

Very entertaining, micky take.
This dvd includes two programmes created by the genius Peter Kay. They are basically a micky take of the X Factor, but very well put together with great attension to detail.

Enjoy the laughs
So, so funny. You will never again watch "X Factor" or any similar T.V. show without this very clever and funny show affecting the complete pomposity of it. Read more
