This is the new version - not the old one from the 1980s - and not such good quality. Plastic is very light and easily bent or broken. Roofs of buildings do not fit or stay on very well. It looks very nice when all the animals are arranged in it but that's about it! Children can't even alter the layout by moving fences so not much room for imaginative play.
I also think it is expensive for what is essentially one sheet of moulded plastic. I would recommend looking for one of the older versions on an internet auction instead although it is nice to have as an add-on if not used very much.

I bought this farm playbase and the outhouses, animals and tractor to go with it for our Playgroup.It was assembled and put out to play with, and within half an hour, the roof of both barns and the pigsty had been removed and lost and all the gates had been taken off! It looked lovely when I was shopping for a farmyard but was totally impractical.
