I'm so shocked at the quality of this item. I carefully followed all the steps whilst putting it together, included ensuring that everything was pushed in properly. I filled the jug with water as informed and waited until the water had filtered through. Upon pouring the water into the sink the whole thing fell apart and the front lip of of the jug snapped off and has broken.
I decided to try re-filling the jug just to double check that I had pressed everything in properly and the whole thing fell apart again. I feel really let down by this product as have brought Brita Filters in the past and they have worked fine. Don't bother with this one.
