BRITA Elemaris XL white water filter jug.

Tap water in the UK is perfectly safe. However, it doesn't always taste, look or smell as pleasant as we'd like, and the effect can be noticeable not only in drinking water but in hot drinks and food cooked in water.

BRITA water filter products use a mixture of carbon and ion exchange resin to remove hardness, chlorine, heavy metals such as lead and copper, and other organic impurities to improve the taste, smell and appearance of cold and hot drinks.

The Elemaris water filter jug uses the BRITA Maxtra cartridge for 20% better limescale reduction. It features a pour-through lid for easier one-handed filling, a soft-grip handle and anti-slip rubber base. With a larger capacity ideal for families and regular use, Elemaris XL features 'Memo', the electronic cartridge exchange indicator to remind users when to change the cartridge. It holds 2.2 litres filtered water, or 3.5 litres in total. It is scratch resistant and dishwasher safe (excluding lid.)

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you Mr Marshall.... this jug is very well made of good quality plastics and not at all flimsy.
I have had my previous Brita jug for about 8 years and feel this new one is better quality....it looks very smart and all pieces fit together well and snugly.
Both the fill through lid and the pouring spout are excellent and work well. The rubber handle and feet are nice touches which make sure that this jug is not going to slip out of your hand or off your work surface!
Huge capacity which means you don't have to fill it that often although when full it can be a little heavy,but unless you're very frail or have very weak wrists this shouldn't be a problem.
The electronic memo that reminds you when to change your cartridge is a good feature...and don't worry about the battery running out in a few months as the instruction book states that it will last approx 5 years.

Great quality,great features...and at the price I paid for it, (just under £12.00) a bargain.

I am very happy with this filter jug. The quality of the jug is very good and the design is quite nice too. It does not draw much attention to itself and is easy to clean. It is also easy to handle. Since it is quite a popular water filter jug, new filters can be found in most larger supermarkets. I would, however, recommend to buy the larger jug version, because Elemaris Cool 2,4l sounds big, but gets emptied very quickly in a 2 person household.

I have had a Brita jug for years and decided to buy a new one. This Elemaris jug is great. It filters the water faster than my old one and it has an automatic pour through lid so I dont have to take the lid off to fill it up. It make filling it up so much easier.
I would recommend this product to anyone.
