Product Description

Everyone is agreed this is the No.1 Guide. When it comes to the great Walt Disney World experience and Orlando – no-one does it better Simon and Susan Veness are the acknowledged experts to all that lies in store. Living 'in the heart of the magic', they have made it their passion for more than 20 years. With our trademark BRITTIPs, unique ride ratings, excellent insider info and tourist's eye for detail, we show you how to: Beat the queues; save money;  drive and be safe; eat and drink like the locals; shop like a pro; take in the nightlife; get off the beaten track; and have more fun than you ever thought possible. What our readers say:

“We took your book on our first trip – it saved us loads of time and money – we’re going again and the new edition is already in the case!” Lindsey : Reader

“If you are going to Orlando, you’d be totally insane to go without this book.” David Newnham : The Guardian

“We have just returned from our second trip to Orlando and once again your guide was worth its weight in gold.” Denise Buckley : Colchester

From the Author

Everything is set for another fantastic year in Britain's favourite long-haul destination and we have all the fun and excitement in store in the latest edition of the Brit Guide. Not only that, we also have the best advice on how to get the most out of it, at the best value and with something for everyone, cutting through the confusion and complexity in plain, easy to read style.

The introduction of our exclusive new Brit Bonus features means even more money-saving offers for our readers along with our great Partnership deals with discounts on things like car hire and excursions.

As we live just five minutes from Disney (yes, we liked the place so much, we moved here!), we are confident we have all the specialist 'insider' knowledge necessary to pass on the very best insight into everything that's here, and we have more than 20 years' experience of visiting the parks to back it up.

This is now the 17th edition of our Orlando guide and we continue to enjoy unprecedented reader feedback - and input - which, we believe, helps to ensure we stay the No 1 publication for this destination. No other guide is written with you, the British visitor, in mind and we sincerely hope you take us with you on your next visit to this holiday wonderland. You won't be disappointed.

I think it's a truly excellent guide. It's in full colour and I really enjoy getting the feel of the atmosphere from the pictures - hotels, restaurants etc.
The main point I would make, is that this book is FUN to read through and helps you to choose what's right for YOU. So that you have the best time of it all.

Simon and Susan do a great job and I've never been disappointed by what they have recommended. No, more than that I have always left Orland with the certain feeling that they have introduced me to yet another set of wonderful experiences.

Orlando is such a dynamic place that it needs real experts to sift through the good, the bad and the ugly! One thing I can tell you, is that they are quite right when they say, that there really is too much to do. And that the secret of having the best time in Orlando, is to use their Brit Guide at home to build your own personal To-Do-List. That way, everything you do is what you chose to do. That's what I do and I've always had a fantastic time

I have bought this book several times through the years - once even though I wasn't going. I like that it's always so up to date and I can read about all the new things that Simon & Susan have found for us during the year. I would recommend it most highly

Every year I eagerly await publication of the "Orlando bible", the Brit's Guide. Essential, unbiased reading for anyone contemplating a visit (be it for the first time or a repeat) to Orlando. Bit of a pity that things are changing so quickly there that some parts are out of date as soon as it is published but this does not detract in any way from the overall content. Beats competitors face down every time!

I bought this book after being lent the 2005 version by a colleague - the format is very user friendly, there is plenty of detail - down to car park prices and 'which parks are busiest on which days'. I am very much looking forward to my holiday next summer and this book has helped me to feel well prepared - I feel able to plan with almost military precision, whilst making it appear easy! The tips on websites for park tickets have proved very useful - it's an expensive holiday, but the savings in the book and the suggestions for saving money on park tickets are great. My only criticism would be that it doesn't cover Tampa airport in detail as an option of destination, but Orlando International and Sanford are well-detailed. Overall, a great book, definately recommended.
