This little toy immediately engaged the attention of my 18-month-old granddaughter, who played with it for a long time and evidently enjoyed trying stacking it in various different orders. She found the little leathery 'wings' harder to stack than the wooden blocks.

We were given one of these as a gift for our 1 year old daughter and she loves it so much we purchased one as a gift for our niece. It is really well made, tactile, and stacks together smoothly. Our daughter has played with it since she was 12 months old so I don't think there's any need to wait for the recommended age for this toy. So far it's survived nearly a year of constant abuse ans still looks like new. We like to stack it up correctly but also have fun stacking it up incorrectly then "fixing" it. Our daughter thinks it's hilarious when we put the head on upside down. Now she's very good at stacking it we're working on getting the orange pattern on the tummy lined up so we still have a challenge to accomplish. I would recommend this toy and think it is good value for money. I would advise keeping the box for storage so you don't lose the bits.
