A nice addition to the Brio set we'd just bought for our daughter (nearly three). She likes to wind the handle to make the bridge go up and down and likes the little gates at either side too. A nice touch is that the handle's been designed to be held and turned by small hands.The one caveat is that you need a special piece of track from Brio to allow track to go under the bridge rather than just over it. It's difficult to find and without it, the bridge doesn't have as much appeal.

We've purchased this Lifting bridge as a christmas gift for the kids. So the review is from the view of an adult, and not yet the child. However, given the positive experience from the already existing Brio train toys we are sure that this lifting bridge is going to be a positive experience. Brio toys are really good and in excellent quality for kids to play with.

This is a nice, educational and fun item from the Brand Leader. I have concerns over how long the bridge will lift up and down, I am not convinced of the long term durability of this item, especially with younger clumsy children. The little red barriers seem a bit flimsy too. This item commands a premium price being from the Brand Leader, but the build quality does not seem to be as tough as other items in the range.
