I bought this sorter rather than some of the others on the market because it looked simple enough for my 12 month old to have a go at. He had tried and got frustrated with one at a friends house which had about 8 different shapes and slots and was far too confusing! There are only 3 different shape on this sorter. I love the design, but I think my son might have been more attracted to a bright plastic one! It is very hardy - it has been dropped from high chair to tiled floor on a number of occasions, without damage to the sorter or floor.

This toy is fantastic quality and a must for any 1-2 year old's toybox. My two year old still loves to play with it and is learning the shape names now too. The only tiny negative is the nice, high-gloss black paint doesn't look that way for long! It is very durable, but soon looses its shine, which is a shame.
