Product Description

Synopsis

Teenager: "What time do I have to be in, Dad?" (Girls always ask their fathers first...they're generally easier. The reverse is true for boys.) Father: "Not too late, darling. You'd better ask your mother." (A typical buck-passing trick) Teenager: "Mum, is it alright if I stay out till twelve?" Mother: "No! And that's my final word on the subject." Teenager "But why?" Mother (and here comes the most predictable cop-out reply of the lot): "Because I say so." Sound familiar? It needn't. You can handle your parents. You just have to have the knack. Tackling all the classic old arguments, from what you wear to what you drink, John Farman gives some inside knowledge on the tricky subject of dealing with your exasperating parents.

5.0 out of 5 stars For teenagers, 15 Jan 2011

Funny and witty, just what is needed for a sullen teenager who thinks their parents are antiquated and don't understand them! I don't think they believe that we have all been through this stage (and survived!) and believe we are out to ruin their fun. My son has gleened quite a lot from this book (though, in typical teenage style, would refuse to admit it)and I think it has helped him to "understand" his parents a little more.

As the "parent" this book is really funny - I remember well exactly the same conversations with mine!!! Can't wait for my son to open it and cause me more grief! Well worth it!
Delivered very quickly also - thank you.

bought for my 13 year old son - he loves it. Excellent advice in a light hearted format (not "preachy"!)
