5.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly Decent Throughout 27 May 2008
Format:Audio CD
This album is essential. You need to hear this one. Cruiser (if I may call them that) are a drum/guitar duo a bit like the Black Keys and White Stripes. It is heavy, rift driven blues with gruff vocals and pounding drums. There's plenty of slide guitar too.

It's forced all other records off my turnatble in the last two weeks. It really doesn't get much better than this. Very strongly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Southern magic 31 July 2009
Format:Audio CD
If i were to offer any advice for the remainder of this year, it would be to buy this lp. If you're down with the dirty sounds of The Black Diamond Heavies and ever wondered what it would sound like with strings instead of keys, Left Lane Cruiser certainly give you the answers you were looking for. There isn't a bad track on it and every time you hear that slide guitar you feel compelled to slam another shot of whiskey, light up, and get your groove on. A Masterpiece !

4.0 out of 5 stars Ballsy Hillbilly Blues 8 Oct 2008
By Barmee
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
If you've ever listened to the Black Diamond Heavies or even the (sadly departed) Chickasaw Mudd Puppies then you will recognise all that is good with those guys' work in this music. If these slightly obscure references mean nothing to you (and take this as a hint to go search them out) then just think Tom Waits if he'd taken a (slightly) more conventional Blues Rock direction. Romping good fun. Buy - or at least download 'Pork n Beans' to get a flavour (sorry!) of what I mean.
