BRING HIM BACK
A novella by Scott Mariani

A MISSING BOY
It's 2004. Twelve-year-old Carl Hunter has been snatched at gunpoint from his home on Jersey. He and his kidnapper have vanished without a trace.

A DISTRAUGHT MOTHER
After weeks, the cops have found nothing. Jessica Hunter realises that if she ever wants to see her boy again, she'll need someone with some very special skills to find him. Enter Ben Hope, recently retired from the SAS and now working freelance to rescue kidnapped children.

A DEADLY SECRET
But as Ben begins his search for Carl, he soon discovers that nothing about this case is as it seems. Behind the mystery of the boy's disappearance is a sinister secret that threatens to destroy anyone who comes into contact with it...

More About the Author

Scott Mariani is the author of the worldwide-acclaimed action-adventure thriller series featuring ex-SAS hero Ben Hope, which has sold over a million copies in Scott's native UK alone and is also translated into over 20 languages. His books have been described as 'James Bond meets Jason Bourne, with a historical twist'. The first Ben Hope book, THE ALCHEMIST'S SECRET, spent six straight weeks at #1 on Amazon's Kindle chart, and all the others have been Sunday Times bestsellers.

Scott was born in Scotland, studied in Oxford and now lives and writes in a remote setting in rural west Wales. When not writing, he can be found bouncing about the country lanes in an ancient Land Rover, wild camping in the Brecon Beacons or engrossed in his hobbies of astronomy, photography and target shooting (no dead animals involved!).

In addition to writing thrillers, he's also an avid fan of horror, and his most recent publication, available exclusively on Amazon, is HOUSE OF MALICE, a shocking and terrifying novella based partly on some of Scott's own personal experiences as a paranormal investigator. As usual you are sent immediately into the mystery. As the story unfolds the intensity increases and you do not want to put the book down. I was sorry when it came to an end as all good things must.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read 21 Jan 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A brilliant short story. Having read all the Ben Hope novels its nice to get the background of the early days of his business. I read this in one sitting, mostly because it is such an easy book to get in to. This doesn't need an in depth review. If you're new to Scott Mariani then this is a good start. Then get cracking on the rest of the books.

Fast paced, with lots of twists, chases and villains you just know will receive justice at the hands of Mr Hope!

If you haven't been introduced to Ben Hope then this novella is a perfect 'blind date', but one that will get you hooked to the wonderful work of Scott Mariani!

Another winner from Scott Mariani - I couldn't put it down and finished it in an afternoon!

Can't wait for the next adventure.......

I am a huge Scott M/Ben Hope fan. Quite a short storyline, and not much of a plot compared to Scott's previous books. It's an okay read worth the money. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story
I enjoyed the story but felt that it had been edited. Some stories are bulked out with technical details but this was straight to the point.
