This sprightly, sardonic sequel to Bring It On has little connection to the Kirsten Dunst comedy, but is a lot of fun on its own terms. Freshman Whittier (Anne Judson-Yager) arrives at California State University in Los Angeles intent on auditioning for the cheerleading squad. Discovering student life to be a mix of the mundane (dumb football players) and iconoclastic (sundry militants), she buddies up with a former rival (Faune Chambers), for comfort, and gets an easygoing boyfriend (Richard Lee Jackson). But after impressing the shrewish head cheerleader, Tina (Bree Turner), with her astonishing agility, Whittier is lured to campus celebrity and briefly loses her head--and friends. After wising up, Tina dismisses Whittier from the squad, forcing the outcast to start a rival (and much sexier) cheerleading crew. Broad performances, particularly Turner’s monstrous child of privilege, make Bring It On Again worth a visit. --Tom Keogh


Synopsis

Following in the choreographed steps of 2000's 'Bring It On' this feel-good college movie sequel follows California State University Freshman, Whittier (Anne Judson-Yager), in her roller-coaster first year away from home.
College turns out to be pretty far removed from high school and despite making some really good friendships Whittier decides to join the cheerleading squad. Almost overnight she's a campus sensation but as her popularity grows with the in-crowd she realises she has been neglecting the people that really care about her. When Tina, the snobby, fascistic head of the cheerleading squad realises where Whittier's allegiances lie Whittier is fired from the team, crushing her hopes of performing at the National Cheerleading Championship. But with a rabble of campus misfits willing to help her out in any way they can, Whittier discovers that her hopes of representing her college at the Championship may not be lost after all.

As a huge fan of Bring It On, I was shocked to see a sequel available to buy in the shops - I hadn't even heard a sequel had been made, as it wasn't released at the cinemas. I took this to mean that the film would be dire, especially as I hadn't heard of any of the cast. Regardless, I took a gamble and bought it anyway, and I have to say that I am pleased I did. I really enjoyed watching this film - the cheerleading was entertaining and the script was rather funny.

The biggest mistake you can make is to compare this film to the first - it obviously had a smaller budget and it didn't have any celebs in it, but the bottom line is it is funny and it will make you laugh!

This was not a let down as I thought it would be. You hear of many sequels which are suppossed to be better than the original but they never are. So I was expecting a boring script and pathertic acting instead I got the opposite.
The script was a bit slow in places but was funny and the acting was well timed and showed professionalism. I had never heard of any of the actors in it and was suprised at the quality of their acting and think that they have careers ahead of them.
If you are expecting it to be exactly like the original then you shouldn't buy this but if you want fresh actors and a old but good storyline this is the film for you.

Although not as good as Bring It On, this is still worth watching. I didn't know any of the actors, but the story was good, although the ending was slightly unbelieveable. It also did end a bit abruptly, and left you wanting more.
But it is worth watching, just don't expect it to be as good as the first one.
