About the Author

Steve Johnson has written more than 35 books on a variety of computer software, including Office, Windows, Mac OS X, Photoshop and Flash. In 1991, after working for Apple Computer and Microsoft, Steve founded Perspection, Inc. Perspection has written more than 80 computer books and sold more than 5 million copies.

Andy Anderson is a graphics designer and illustrator who has worked with the Macintosh OS from the start. He has written more than 17 books including ‘Show me Mac OS X Panther’, ‘HTML and Web Design’, ‘Adobe Photoshop’, ‘Macromedia Dreamweaver’ and ‘Macromedia Flash’. Andy currently teaches classes and seminars. His clients include designers and trainers from Disneyland, Boeing, the US Government and other Fortune 500 companies.

I found Photoshop to be difficult to understand,primarily because it is so comprehensive.This book shows you everything you need to know and it is very easy to navigate through your tasks.I would recommend this book to any keen digital photographers.

This book is great for a qick reference and will provide te basics, no good if you are looking for many tutorials altough the book does contain some projects at the back.

Photoshop CS3 Brilliant 4 Sep 2010

Brilliant Photoshop CS3 by Andy Anderson and Steve Johnson is what it says on the cover - brilliant.
Although CS3 has now been superseded by CS4 AND CS5 most of the content is applicable to most versions of Photoshop. The explanations are clear and concise and the book is extremely useful to any Photoshop user at whatever level.
