A great book for any businessman or woman to carry with them in their pocket! Packed with excellent advice to help you succeed, whatever your business may be. Thoroughly recommended!
Brilliant at the Basics of Busines is a very short book. Frankly, it so stuffed with good ideas that if it was 300 pages long I would have put it down in the middle to absorb it all.
There are elements in the style of the book that remind me of Hugh MacLeod's Ignore Everyone, another book I thoroughly enjoyed.
Brilliant at the Basic is about the basics, in Football terms, the blocking and tackling. The creators of luck.
This book is highly recommended for everyone but my competitors.
I like Nicholas Bate his writings are thought provoking, concise & informed. With Brilliant At The Basics of Business 100, he provides 100 ideas / statements relating to business that make you think, get things in perspective & most importantly encourage you to get on with it! I dip in & out of his work seeking a bit of inspiration, guidance or reassurance that helps propel me & the businesses I'm involved in forward, & it works. The price may seem high; however over time the value delivered I feel will be immeasurable.
It is a book that picks you up and motivates you in a natrual way. Sprinkled with clever illustrations, it makes you think of the organisation's longterm visions while reminding you of the frequently forgotten basics.
A book that guides you towards achieving your business goals while encouraging personal growth.
"Talk normally". I love that advice and it starts the Brilliant At The Basics of Business book.
In this world of three-letter acronyms and meaningless corporate jargon, Nicholas Bate offers some sound advice. Read, lead, ask, price, pay attention.
This book is a breath of fresh air and every company should assign this book as mandatory reading for all employees.
