The first detailed story of some of the attacks on BrightonThis book is the result of seven years research and is the first detailed story of some of the air attacks on Brighton during WWII. It lists the civilian dead and where killed as well as other personal details. There are a number of personal stories of those who were involved, those buried in the debris of their homes, others lucky to be alive as a 500Kg bomb passed within a few feet of them.The day that 22 large bombs fell on the town, each one plotted from aircraft to final explosion. The day the author was almost shot by a German FW190 as it flew low over the Town of Brighton. It is written in easy to follow chapters with a good selection of about 40 wartime photographs., culminating in a never before published picture of a street party in Grove Street, Brighton celebrating VE Day, May,1945 with a picture of the author as a 10 year old. This is the author's first book but a follow-up is due soon.
