We had been given this as a present for our newborn and in about Week 4-5 , we used it for the first time and it is awesome. Our son just loves it and can play on it for hours for about 4 weeks now giving both the mother and I much needed eating and rest times. We were given other playmats but this one rules way above them all. Pricey maybe, but definitively worth more than its weight in gold.

This has been a great light weight pad for my son to play on. He loves the bumble bee and the music it plays and all the other toys and colors to look at. Being light weight also makes it easy for my wife to pick it up with the son in one arm and carry both to another room where she wants to be. I think a must have for any parent!!

I bought this at Target for $50 (regularly $60) with a coupon to give to my mother so she had something else for my son to do when he was at her house. So glad I did that too! It comes with little extra toys galore to entertain him! Rattles, teething toys, a little mirror, other interesting textured and funky shaped objects, and it comes with several of those plastic chain link things to help you dangle and change up the toys. It transforms a few different ways to change as your baby grows too. My least favorite feature is the little music/sound maker that attaches to the side. You can set it to go off when the baby claps or hits it, or you can set it on constant play, but the music is actually very obnoxious- like a cheesy tropical song with 80's keyboard effects. And, when it is on the "clap" feature, you basically have to slap the stupid device to get it to play the music. My son doesn't seem to impressed with the music either. Lol. Overall, this was a lot cheaper for the quality than I have seen several others of these mats of similar size and style, so I am pleased with the purchase, and my mother was ecstatic about it as well (aren't all grandma's?!). It was a little frustrating to get out of the packaging with all of those darn pull ties, but easy to put together once you and the scissors wrestle with the package, hah. Essentially, if you can find it for close to $50 like I paid, it is definitely worth the money.

This play mat is great! However $100+ was a little steep. I bought it and found out that they are $59 brand new at Target. I felt ripped off, so I am returning mine to Amazon and making my purchase elsewhere.
