5.0 out of 5 stars A Captivating Story For Young and Old! 23 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a lovely story that holds my child's attention right to the end - which is a particular rarity at the moment.
The pictures are magical especially with Stanley's fascinating shiny scales, I'll certainly look out for more from this great author/illustrator.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bright Stanley 7 Aug 2008
Format:Paperback
My 3 yr old son loves this book, he's facinated by the drawings especially the page where Stanley is hiding in a cave to escape a shark - there is a snail at the bottom of the page, he cannot work out why there is a snail underwater - so it provokes him to ask questions. I personally do not enjoy reading this book to him, I find it boring - howeever, i'm not 3 and apparently it's a winner if you are!
