Bought this book last minute so to say to supplement my son's higher computing studies as like most sons his course work notes were all over the place. Found the index worked well as an aid when doing past papers as was nearly alway able to find the pertinent section that the questions applied to and if not from index easily found in each chapter. Good choice of typical exam questions at the end of each section. Well laid out both textually and graphically with lots of handy tips and suggestions to get more information from the www.

I bought this book in time for my Higher Prelim this year, and I have to say that it is a brilliant book!
Each section is clearly laid out (with colour, which makes it much more interesting, easy to read and easy to identify certain sections), and it covers Software Development and Computeer Structure with the correct level of detail, i.e. everything you need to know is there, and it's very easy to find! The 3rd unit is a choice of three: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networking and Multimedia Technology; this book covers all of them as well, so you are well prepared if you buy this book!
I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone studying Higher Computing. There is quite a lot of information that you need to soak in in the course, and this book provides the perfect easy to read solution!

After taking computing in my last year of highschool, I did have serious doubts on passing but with this book and it's easy to understand text layout and informative nature I have been given the confidence to go on in the subject. I swear by this book and think if your were able to memorise all the pages (which to be honest wouldn't be all that hard) you would walk away with an A after your exam. This is an exellent product and a higher computing must have. Would recommend to any computing student.
