These pants really gave me the confidence I needed to send my son to playgroup and go on outings in the early days of potty training. When he did have an accident they helped to minimise the mess and everyone felt less stressed! He was much more willing to wear these brightly coloured pants than some other white ones I bought, and sometimes he still asks for his 'big boy going out pants' although he has been out of nappies for a few months now. Definitely a good buy for peace of mind.

Was very helpful in helping train my son, he got the wet sensation without having to change his trousers! Was trained within a week.

After reading other reviews I thought I'd give these potty training pants a go. I got the Extra Large size as other reviewers had suggested they come up small. Do they ever! They were so tight that my son wasn't able to pull them up or down by himself which defeats a lot of the object of switching to pants in the first place. Also it was suggested by the sellers that a selection of boy appropriate colours would be sent. I got green and orange. I was expecting at least one more colour. The plastic middle layer did nothing to prevent leakages and to be frank just made the pants even more uncomfortable and bulky. I would not recommend these.

I'd been looking for a training pant to get us through the first couple of weeks of potty training. At the moment he knows to go if he is naked, but as soon as we put regular pants on or even just trousers he gets confused, probably asssuming he has a nappy on and just goes. I thought these would be perfect to give him that sense of being wet but not go everywhere when we are out and about. These pants don't do that job, in fact they are hopeless. They don't absorb anything, so the urine just sits on top of the horrible plasticky layers and when you got to take them off by a wimpering toddler the pee just pools together and slides down onto your carpet and all over the trousers you were just trying to save. I can understand having a very thing plastic layer stitched to the underside (but still inside) the pants to stop the urine once it has absorbed into the pants, but this seems to just be lots of bunched plastic sewn between the fabric on either side of the pants, so nothing can absorb into the fabric and hence the pee sitting on top of the pants waiting to fall everywhere. I know out there training pants must exist that are essentially thick layers of terry cloth in the crotch area with that plastic underlay. They would be very effective as they would still feel damp on the skin and help my son to realise he's had an accident, but absorb enough of the pee so it doesn't fall everywhere with nowhere to go.

To make things worse, I put them in the washing machine for the first time and they've shrunk and are not of any use now. I admit it was my fault as I have since read that you've got to wash them at 20c, but who has time to wash their training pants separately from all the other laundry at 40c? I certainly don't. Hopeless!

I brought the biggedt size and they came up very tight on my two and half year old. They did the job but only used them for a week but happy with them.

I thought these would be a good step forward for my son as we used terry towelling nappies but are only good for very little dribbles and in any case you'll be changing the pants anyway, but good for nap time to save wetting the bed. Also would recommend going for a size bigger than you think for the leg room.

These are great for potty training. my toddler treated pull ups just like nappies and wouldnt go to the loo, whereas these are more like underpants. They are a good size and dont shrink in the tumbler. There is a layer of plastic in where the wee would go, so even when he has a wee accident, it doesnt soak through to his pants.
