I'm delighted with this book. For me Robson is by far the most helpful and entertaining writer on bridge and the technique here of focusing on specific points, graduated in difficulty, is one I respond to much more readily than the heavyweight texts, solid and reliable as they are, of the likes of Klinger. Bridge is for most of us anyway an enjoyable recreation, albeit one at which we hope to improve. The list of dos and don'ts, each illustrated with clear examples from play, makes learning fun and certainly assists understanding. A more dedicated student could even use the specific cards to aid memory. Strongly recommended.

If you love playing bridge then you will love this book. Andrew Robson is simply brilliant; all the tips you will ever need in bite size pieces, so that you don't have to try and digest war and peace before you get to the point ! Succinct and to the point, I have no trouble recommending this book to even the most seasoned players.

very good book. Tips all appear in the Times so don't need to buy it if you get the Times
