If you liked the first two volumes of Mi-Kyung Yun's exquisite Bride of the Water God, you won't be disappointed with the way the story continues in volume three. This time the action goes beyond Suguk to Soah's home village, as the heartache deepens and the mystery about Habaek's past and former wife continue. Will he ever tell the truth about his identity or true feelings towards Soah? You will be longing to know. With the same lavishly beautiful artwork and dreamily spiritual tone you have come to expect from this talented manhwa creator.

As with the previous volumes, the artwork was fantastic, however the story didn't seem to get going, or rather it went nowhere. Soah is her usual passive self, more of an observer, than a part of the Water God's palace.

The periphery characters were lacking too, particularly Huye and the thread of his possible involvement in the Water God's first wife's death.

Still good, but I hope volume 4 will be more coherent.
