Brace yourself: this is a clever, consistently entertaining and even inspired continuation of the mean-spirited slasher series. For those not in the know, Chucky is a mop-top kid's doll come to life with the soul of a serial killer and the voice of Brad Dourif (doing his best Jack Nicholson). Revived by his former paramour Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly, looking every inch a life-size Barbie in stiletto heels and skintight black leather), Chucky proceeds to turn his human sweetie into a pint-sized Talking Tina doll with attitude, and together they hit the road for a magic amulet and young new bodies to inhabit. They hitch a ride with sweet young runaways Katherine Heigl and Nick Stabile and leave a trail of corpses bloodied, burned and cut to ribbons. The kids are cute, but the real heat is generated by the latex lovers who use murder as foreplay and consummate their renewed romance in a night of passionate sex ("Shouldn't you wear a rubber?" "I'm all rubber!").

Hong Kong director Ronny Yu (The Bride with White Hair) directs with a light touch and against all odds transforms walking dolls Chucky and Tiffany into funny, energetic, full-blooded characters: l'amour fou has never been more crazy. John Ritter costars as Heigl's overprotective uncle (another obstacle on the road to dolly freedom) and Alexis Arquette is hilarious as a lanky goth nerd. I love Chucky! I was already a big fan of the series, in fact I'm obssessed with him, even before this film was released. This is one of my favourite films ever!

Unlike the previous two sequels this is not merely a retread. New life is breathed into this series with this film. The story is excellent, and the direction and cinematography is beautiful, seriously!

The Plot - This time Chucky's remains are sown back together by his ex-girlfriend, who is human. When he is reborn the two fall out and he kills her, only to put her soul into the body of doll! The two then make up and go on a roadtrip for an amulet, known as 'The Heart of Dambella' which will enable them to put their soul's into new human bodies.

The film is more horror comedy than ever before. Chucky keeps his wisecracks but their is also a lot of humour in the script and the situations the doll's find themselves in. All the actors, both real and dolls(!), are excellent and put a lot of effort into their roles.

There are plenty of memorable set pieces were you really won't believe what you have just seen before your eyes.

On a whole I consider this film to be a true masterpiece, with a hell of a lot more invention and imagination than most Hollywood films.

Eventually there WILL be a sequel, called 'Seed of Chucky'. Can't wait. WATCH THIS FILM!!!!

My first introduction to Chucky was watching Childsplay at a girly sleepover when I was about 12. It absolutely terrified me, reinforcing the fact that films have ratings for a reason! Being older and braver I thought I’d give Bride of Chucky a go.

Watching this film proved two things to me: 1) sequels can in fact be good, and 2) I was a very wimpy child! If you want terrifying this probably isn’t the film for you, but for shear entertainment its first class. It has everything you could ever want from a typical American cheesy horror, from the goody-goody teenagers caught in the wrong place at the wrong time to a couple of dolls on a murderous rampage, perfect!

I always thought sequels are rubbish, they just repeat what happens in the original.But Bride of Chucky is fantastic.Its wonderful script and great casting and fabulous dircting makes it what it is.Jennifer Tilly plays Tiffany,Chucky's doll girlfriend and does it brilliantly.Newcomer Nick Stabile plays Jesse, which ladies will be ecstatic to hear that he goes topless and shows off what i think is the best torso ever!He so should have showed full frontal! So in all,this is a must-see!
