I purchased the album 'Brick by Brick 5 days ago and it is already having its second play for today alone. Absolutely beautiful lyrics and Johns voice is what I can only describe as 'Melted chocolate running from a silver spoon'.

The album starts with 'One two three' a fab tune guaranteed to start the foot tapping away, the sort of tune you would play with the windows open in the car on a sunny day.

Followed by 'Bring you down' calming and mellow with such soothing powerful lyrics. 'Ten long days' is my favourite track on the album, sounds 'A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll' I can imagine sitting in a bar here with a beer and this playing on the jukebox in the background somewhere in America.

'Breathe' is the next to play, not a lot I can say about this other than it is a beautiful, somewhat haunting melody; the passion in John's voice here is outstanding.

The next track 'Way bayond the stars' is a song that will leave you wanting to hit the repeat button every time, this is the last song I heard last night before drifting off to sleep, a must for all insomniacs, guaranteed a good night's sleep.

'Next to you' A beautiful love song, I am totally lost in this album now with its perfectly balanced vocals, it's a tune I think we will hear more of in the future.

'Fearless' Wow! Is this John James Newman singing or Peter Gabriel? what a powerful tune this is, absolutely amazing.

''What am I to you' and 'Slip away' are the last two tracks on the album and are a perfect ending to one of the most stunning albums I have heard in years, I'm hearing similarities to Elbow, Coldplay and Peter Gabriel, three of the biggest names in the music industry and John has certainly just raised the bar as an up and coming solo artist, he has the voice to turn any head, I can guarantee it.

Don't just take my word for it, get yourself a copy today.

Lovely easy listening songs on this album - I think John's voice sounds very like a mix of Peter Gabriel & Guy Garvey of Elbow - My favourite song is Fearless - beautiful melody, gives me goosebumps. This album is well worth a listen - Fantastic !!

I heard this guy at a cricket club beer festival and he was fantastic live - one of those entertainers who seemed to be really enjoying himself. On the strength of that, I downloaded the album and am very happy that I did. A good cross-section of songs and excellent performance.

just need to release the 'pack up your troubles/don't worry be happy' mix and he'll take over the world.....
