Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Food processors are versatile appliances for those who enjoy getting creative in the kitchen. They boast a number of helpful, everyday functions to take the hard work out of food preparation. For foodies with a sweet tooth, food processors can step in to help mix cake and biscuit mixtures. For savoury food fans, they can be used to knead dough, mince meat and make homemade dips, dressings and breadcrumbs. And they can also chop vegetables, herbs, nuts and fruit.

The Breville Antony Worrall Thompson VFP014 Compact Food Processor easily tackles all of these kitchen jobs and more. It has one speed and a pulse function for short, sharp bursts of processor power. The power base unit is a stylish silver/ metallic shade which neatly complements contemporary and modern-looking kitchens. Inside this base is a 450 watt (W) motor which powers the various stainless steel blades, a material known for being less corrosive and more resistant to rusting than others and boasts antibacterial properties that keep it hygienic. Choose from a number of various attachments to suit your job. These include a chopping blade and grating, slicing and continuous feed disks. There are two containers to sit on top of the unit--a plastic 1.8 litre (l) continuous feed container and a toughened plastic bowl with 500 ml capacity, both of which are transparent to ensure clear observation and dishwasher safe. And completing the kit is the two-piece lid enabling you to add ingredients while still processing. The unit has a convenient on-board blade storage compartment to help keep all the kit together, non-slip feet and comes with a booklet of Antony's favourite recipes to get you inspired in the kitchen.

    Really Rubbish 25 Jan 2011
    By Janeymc
I bought this to replace my 27 year old Braun food processor. I liked the on-board storage options and the fact that it was compact. It was a mistake as the processor is completely inadequate. When you try and process anything half of it stays whole and the rest goes to a total mush. I am so disappointed and wish I had bought a different make. The grater also turns stuff mushy - carrots come through with alot of juice as well as grated shreds. The only plus point is the on board storage.

Really pleased with this product. It is compact and effective. I think the side jug is superfluous, but it can easily stay in the cupboard saving even more space! Slicer attachment is not quite as good as I would have hoped. Been using it with Jamies 30 minute cookbook and it is ace!

Waste of time 26 Feb 2011
    By YvetteP
This processor is so awful I returned it for a refund! When using the slicing blade, it reduces most of the veg to mush. It is supposed to blend but absolutely does not - it leaves many lumps no matter how long you blend for. Also, when processing liquids they leak out of the 'continuous feed' slot at the top. Don't bother with this processor.
