We never had one in our house when I was a child so I always thought toasted sandwiches were a real treat. I have finally purchased one after 30 years of wanting, and had to go with the Breville because of the name, and have no regrets. And my kids LOVE it!!! My husband loves to cook and so poo-pooed it as its too "convenient", but even he is a fan now!!! However, a hinge came loose on my machine, but we tightened it and it has been fine since. Its SO easy to clean that I have no hesitation in using it, and being so easy to store makes it very accessible in our kitchen. Just wish I had bought one sooner.

Takes a while to brown the outside of the sandwich , but cuts it in half . Removable plates really good.Note that this machine makes 2 sandwiches (ie 4 slices). Read more
