The Breville VKJ416 black stainless steel jug kettle combines modern design with high performance. It is high wattage--3 kilowatt (kW)--keeping the boiling time short to save you time and has a concealed element. This makes it easier to clean and more energy efficient than an immersed element, requiring a lower minimum water level in order to function safely. It has a capacity of 1.7 litres (l) and so can accommodate about six to eight cups--ideal for families. The VKJ416 is designed with large dual water windows indicating water level to help you fill the kettle to the desired amount. And these windows illuminate blue when boiling, making it easier to judge the correct amount and giving your kettle a sophisticated style. The kettle is fitted with a non-slip, 360° rotational base for left and right-handed usage and cord storage to keep your kitchen worktop fuss-free.

Smart, good looking. Solid feel to it, much better feel than cheaper plastic ones. Good easy to open lid. Does what a kettle should do. Blue light is a little OTT but it does at least let you know that it has finished if you have been out of the room whilst it is boiling/

I ordered this kettle after long 2 days looking at differnet brands, different websites ets. The black is suited other appliances, looks very good and working well. I also like the blue light when put it on. I have this kettle for about 2 month or so, at the moment works well. Very pleased with this purchase.

The black stainless steel finish and blue light makes the kettle very stylish. Lid allows easy fill, large window and easy pour spout. Have had several Breville kettles over the years always found them reliable and well made this one is no exception.
