My wife Lynne and I wanted the versatility of deep frying and two items at the same time so when we saw this at Amazon we thought "perfect" and it is. If you are doing chips, 1 basket is ideal size for 2 people and of course if you are doing scampi or chichen or whatever you can time it to perfection as it is in the other basket.A really good fryer !!

We had the "singles" fryer for some time and upgraded to the "his and hers" version to minimize marital friction!
Excellent piece of kit which allows fish and chips to be fried together but without contamination the chip oil with a fishy taste. Temperature control is good so oil lasts a long time.
Easy to clean and neat to store.

Very good value for money. Who wants all sorts of gismos attached to the fryer, as long as it does the job and the Breville fryer does exactly that. Some people may be put off by the fact that the plastic lid has to be removed during frying but I did not find this a problem. The SS sides do become hot but there again all fryers should be well out of reach of children.
