    My partner and I like so many other people spent a long time researching for a decent toaster and kettle. Eventually we decided to go the 'cafe' series by Breville. This was before christmas 2007. Both items worked well and we were happy with our purchase. But last November the kettle gave us our last cup of coffee and then died, (the element failed to work!). We took it back to the place where we got it from and got a refund for it. We then scoured the net and found the same kettle on Amazon. Ordered it and so far this one has behaved itself!!
    This morning though, the toaster gave up on us. Again it's the element as there were sparks flashing in the bottom of the machine.
    Yes both machines do look good and perform to an accpetable standard. But as the toaster has broken after 17 months and the kettle died within a year of purchase, I personally would not buy from Breville again. They are frankly too expensive and not reliable enough.

    My son owns one of these toaster and highly recommended it!
    It did not disapppoint!

    I particularly enjoy my toasted bagels which come out a beatifully even shade of brown.

    I love this toaster! I used the 4-slice version in a rented cottage on holiday and came home and ordered one straight away. It is really good quality and has a realy quality feel about the mechanism when you put it down. The crumpet setting is also fab and really does give you the perfect crumpet by just giving the top and extra grilling (just make sure you put them in the right way round!) Also looks great on my worktop. Couldn't ask for anything more (except maybe a bun warmer...)
