5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic toaster! Recommended!, 22 Jul 2005
Now you're probably looking at this toaster and at its price and thinking it's a lot of money for a toaster. That's what I thought before I bought it, but I think it's worth it.

My last toaster was a £15 cheap thing, and you'd get the first slice burned and the second one not even warm, you know the sort of thing. That's why I upgraded.

This makes great toast. Every slice comes out evenly toasted, no burned bits. It has a digital control for each pair of slots so you can choose the degree of toasting you want exactly. It's quite a large unit and it's not the quickest toaster, but it makes great toast, which is surely the most important thing.

I like the separate controls for each pair of slots. I like mine lightly grilled to level 4, wheras my husband prefers level 6. When the toast is ready it beeps loudly and the motorised "bread carriages" lift the toast up. It also has defrost and reheat controls which are handy.

The slots are quite deep and the bread goes a long way down inside so it will take tall bread. The toaster feels like it's nice quality, no plastic feel to the controls. We've had ours for a month and no complaints, and I can heartily recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars superb toaster, 4 Jan 2006

We bought this toaster a week ago after getting fed up of unevenly toasted toast.this toaster looks very modern (not like a toaster at all)has a fantastic automated insert. toasts all thickness of bread or buns etc.very deep slots ensure all loaf sizes fit.best of all perfectly even toast every time. we have owned 5 toasters in as many years and have been dissatisfied with every one, this is absolutely brilliant, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Star trek in your kitchen, 15 Sep 2006
By A. Gornall (Blackpool) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I read the other reviews on this toaster and was convinced to buy one. The pictures do not do it justice, this toaster is huge and you will need a decent space on your worktop for it. Apart from the size, this toaster is amazing. I did not think that making toast could be so satisfying. Just read the simple instructions, set up the browning control. (I would suggest start at 5) place the toast in the slots and watch the performance! The bread is gently lowered into the body of the toaster and the five L.E.D. indicators on the front light up. slowly, one by one they go out until with five indicating beeps the perfect toast miraculously appears from deep in the toaster. it is worth buying just for the show! I have tried it with all sorts of bread and it will even take whole pitta breads. The slots are really deep and the toast is evenly brown and crisp all over. You can even have different settings for each side of the toaster and start it at different times. The price may look a tad on the high side but if you want high tech, star trek in your kitchen you must buy this. Oh by the way the finish is of a really high quality too, a sort of polished, brushed aluminium look with turquoisy lights that look ace in the dark.
